Health & Safety Information

All classes at High Street Pilates Ltd are 55mins long with a 5 minute window to clean down your machine and class changeover safely.

Please only wipe down the upholstery after the class. The springs do not need to be sprayed.

Please don’t arrive any earlier than 5mins for your class or you will have to wait outside the studio door.

Please do not arrive late for your class as this can be dangerous to yourself and other clients and will interrupt the flow of the class. It will be at the discretion of your instructor if you will be admitted to the class late and if you are not admitted you will not be refunded for the class.

Clean Grip Socks must be worn at all times in the studio for Safety reasons.

Please arrive on time with minimal belongings to your class and place all belongings in the cubby holes provided.

Your phone must be stored on silent either in the cubby hole or the basket. Please do not use your phone during the class as this is very disruptive to the flow of the class and you may miss important cues from your Instructor. If you need to take a call please leave the studio to do so.

Always listen to your Instructors instructions carefully and if unsure about anything or if it doesnt feel good in your body please stop and inform your Instructor.

Please remember Reformer Pilates is a high risk activity and you take this class at your own risk.

Cold & Flu Symptoms

Working out is not only counterproductive when sick, if any client is feeling unwell, we kindly ask them to remain at home.

Prenatal Clients

We only allow prenatal clients that are currently attending our classes regularly.

All prenatal clients must be healthy and well with no blood pressure issues and have submitted a clearance letter from their consultant or gp clearing them to do Reformer Pilates.

All prenatal clients no matter what level you have been taking classes to before your pregnancy must attend only beginners classes until such time as they are unable to continue in a class for comfort reasons as prenatal classes are about maintenance only.

Your instructor has the right to refuse to admit you into a class if they feel it is unsafe for you and your baby.

Postnatal clients

Postnatal we accept clients into our studio after they have had their 6 week check up and we have received a clearance letter from the GP or Consultant saying they are cleared to return to Reformer Pilates. Please note its post 10-12 weeks after a C-Section.

Contact forms

We will collect your name and email address if you use the contact forms on our website and/or booking system.

Newsletter signup forms

Should you consent to subscribing to our e-newsletters your name and email address are collected using our email subscription software ‘Mailchimp’. That information is held by Mailchimp servers and is used to email you our e-newsletters. You may unsubscribe from our e-newsletter at any time by clicking on the link in the footer of the email.

Our Terms & Conditions

We operate on a 12-hour cancellation policy on all group sessions. Cancellations made after this time will be fully charged. This ensures that we can offer your place to another client who is on our waiting list.

We know, sometimes things happen and you might have to cancel. Cancellations may be made on our online booking system.

We do not implement the cancellation policy on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds

It is your responsibility to ensure you have booked yourself into the correct class. If cancelled ontime (within the 12 hour cancellation period) you will be recredited that class to your account to reuse before the expiry on the class package.

Monetary Refunds on cancelled classes will not be given. Refunds are given back automatically to the clients account online as a class credit if class has been cancelled within the 12 hour cancellation policy period.

Refunds will not be given if you arrive late to a class.

For safety reasons clients will not be admitted to a class more than 5minutes after a class has started.

Please arrive 5minutes early for your class.

Refunds on Memberships will not be given if you forget to cancel your membership. Membership refunds cannot be backdated.

High Street Pilates Ltd reserves the right to cancel any classes that are listed on our Timetable. In the event of this happening we will notify clients in advance and we will return that class credit to you.

Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.

Health & Safety

All High Street Pilates Ltd clients must be over 16 years of age to attend Reformer Pilates classes.

You must disclose fully to High Street Pilates Ltd if you have any health conditions and if your health changes during the course of your time at High Street Pilates Ltd.

You must follow all of the safety rules of the studio as regards the Reformer machine, in particular the set up of your own machine and you must follow the studio and instructor guidelines for correct set up of all parts of the machine that being as follows:

1)Straps are same length

2) Ropes are secured in the runners

3) Footbar is locked into position

4) There is at least 1 spring on the machine at all times.

5) Machine is correctly set up for your height and length and comfort

6) The area around your machine is clear and there are no trip hazards

7) Remove all springs on your machine at the end of your workout this is to prolong the longevity of the springs.

All Reformer Pilates exercises must be executed with extreme caution and precision on the Reformer. All of the instructors instructions and cues must be adhered to when taking part in a Reformer Pilates class. Not every Pilates exercise is suitable for every body so please always follow the instructors advice if they feel an exercise is not suitable for you immediately cease performing it and a modification move will be given.

You must attend a class that is only suitable for your level of ability and capability. If in doubt please ask the Instructor.

Packages

All packages purchased have an expiry date and cannot be used once they have expired.

Monthly Membership:

***Monthly memberships are subscription based with payment automatically taken each month***

You can prebook your classes ahead on memberships to the value of the amount of classes you have signed up to take in any given month. Please note the date your membership renews as classes need to be booked within the given month

Unused or partially-used packages are non-refundable.

Clients cannot split or share packages.

Packages cannot be transferred to another client.

Clients cannot attend classes if booked under a different name this includes family members.

High Street Pilates reserves the right to change Instructors. All packages are not sold with a guarantee of a specific teacher taking certain classes.

Monthly Packages cannot be extended and credits cannot be used once expired.

We reserve the right to change teachers, times of classes & types of classes.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS Personal belongings are brought into the Studio premises at the Member’s own risk and the Company does not accept liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such items.

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ABOVE

You covenant not to sue High Street Pilates Ltd for any injury or damage caused for any reasons whatsoever. The applicant also agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the studio and acknowledges that these rules and regulations, Terms and Conditions may change from time to time. All applicants must be over 16 years of age to be eligible to attend all classes.

We use a booking system called Legitfit which collects all of the information you enter into the website their website or mobile application and stores it securely for you to avail of the services at High Street Pilates Ltd.

Upon creating an account at High Street Pilates Ltd you accept the terms of use of Legitfit.

Disclaimer (Please read and sign before beginning your first Reformer Pilates session)

Health and medical conditions :

You acknowledge and represent that: to the best of your knowledge, you suffer from no medical or physical condition or disability that will or might increase the normal risks associated with exercise.

You must inform us if you have any disability.

You must inform us if you are injured and provide a doctors or consultants letter clearing you to be able to partake in a Reformer Pilates Class.

You must only partake in a class if you are healthy, fit and well. By accepting these Terms & Conditions you are acknowledging that you have read and understood the concepts herein.

You must notify us of any underlying conditions that will affect your ability to take part in a Reformer Pilates Class.

We may ask for a Consultant or Doctor clearance letter depending on the severity of your condition.

You acknowledge and represent that you will complete or have completed the questionnaire to the best of your knowledge and ability.

You must inform us, as soon as possible, if:

• You suffer from any existing or new injury, illness or other medical condition

• You feel any pain or discomfort during a Reformer Pilates class

• You feel that any exercise included in a Reformer Pilates class would be unsafe or uncomfortable for you. We may in our sole discretion prohibit you from participating in a Reformer Pilates class; and you must comply with all of our instructions in relation to our Reformer Pilates classes.

We reserve the right to change teachers, times of classes & types of classes. We only use substitute teachers from our own inhouse teaching team. There are 10 of us on the team : Orna, Patricia, Aine, Mairead, Tracey, Barbara, Aislinn, Hannah, Victoria, Ciara.

CCTV:

We have installed 4 CCTV, 2 outside, 1 in the lobby area and 1 inside the studio for everyones safety both Staff & Clients of High Street Pilates.

Images are being monitored and recorded for the purposes of crime prevention and public safety and for the safety of our Instructors only.

Please note there is no live streaming from within the studio and no audio recording.

Photography & Video Recording:

Pictures and Video recordings may be taken on occasion during classes with the permisson of patrons for social media and marketing purposes only and only with prior consent from the clients.

By accepting these Terms & Conditions you are acknowledging that you have read and understood the concepts herein.

Our details:

In this disclaimer, "we" means (and "us" and "our" refer to) Orna Carr, High Street Pilates Ltd and any Freelance instructors working for High Street Pilates Ltd, which has its principal place of business at Unit 24a, Killegland House, Killegland Street, Ashbourne, Co Meath. Furthermore, all applicants release High Street Pilates Ltd, its owner, manager and all employees and contractors of all liability regarding

1) any injury to self on a class

2)any loss or damage to personal property

Instructors
